The certification process (audit and issuing certificates) is carried out by an independent, accredited Certification Body. When a certificate is issued, the Certification Body notifies us and we submit the details to the PEFC Council. The details of all certificates worldwide are maintained on the Council’s website www.pefc.org and are a matter of public record.

In Ireland, owners of certified woodland and companies with a valid Chain of Custody certificate automatically qualify for membership of PEFC Ireland and are regularly updated on changes and developments both within PEFC and the wider timber and wood products sectors.
